Why choose a boat for your holiday?

Enjoying a boat holiday is a totally exciting and safe experience. Where you will have space for each of your family members and friends to enjoy without being crowded. In addition, you can decide the route to choose, what to see and when to stop with total flexibility, with the aim that each user can enjoy the incredible beaches, watch dolphin sightings, snorkel and even make small excursions to explore caves or enjoy the open sea.

Boat types for charter in the Canary Islands

We have a wide range of boats available for charter in Gran Canaria, from luxury yachts to sailing yachts and catamarans for you to enjoy your holidays.

Yachts

Yachts are the perfect choice if you are looking for luxury and comfort. They come with multiple amenities such as en-suite cabins, fully equipped kitchen, living room and sun deck. Some yachts sometimes include a Jacuzzi.

Sailing yachts

The sailing yacht is the perfect option if you want to enjoy a more authentic and adventurous experience. Where you will feel the wind and the sea in a way that no other type of boat can match.

Catamarans

Catamarans are ideal for holidays with family and friends, as they are usually more spacious than sailboats or yachts, and therefore have greater stability and safety. This makes them the perfect boat for children.

Recommended routes

Southwest coast and Puerto Rico – Puerto de Mogán

One of the most popular routes starts from Puerto Rico, sailing along cliffs, sea caves and unspoilt beaches. This area is ideal for spotting cetaceans such as dolphins with a good chance of spotting them due to the rich marine life in the area.

This route is perfect to stop in Puerto de Mogán and stroll around its picturesque marina and enjoy lunch on the beachfront.

Puerto de Mogán – Güi Güi

This is one of the most special boat trips along the coast of Gran Canaria. Starting from Puerto de Mogán and skirting the west coast, you can observe the incredible volcanic formations and landscapes where nature is the protagonist until you reach the incredible beach of Güi Güi, a wild, solitary and magical cove, which can only be reached by sea or after a walk of several hours.

Tips for a perfect holiday

Before planning your sailing holiday in Gran Canaria we provide you with some important tips:

  • Book in advance: Make sure to book your boat in advance, especially in high season to ensure the availability of large and comfortable boats.
  • Departure location: Choose to embark from Puerto Rico or Puerto de Mogán, both of which offer calmer waters to start the adventure.
  • Insurance: It is important to check that the boat you hire is insured, as the insurance will cover any damage to the boat, as well as social responsibility.
  • Deposit: A security deposit will be required at the time of charter. This will be refunded at the end of the charter, provided the boat is returned in the same condition as when it was rented.
